Jet Engineering Technical Support Ltd (JETS) has formed a Joint Venture with Bond Trust in Jersey called CAMO AVIATION LIMITED.

Q. My Aircraft is up to date on "CAMP" therefore its airworthy right?
A. CAMP is a database and like any database its only as good as the information fed into it at the start. Part of the requirement to be able to demonstrate Airworthiness is a back to birth review of the aircrafts maintenance records and history together with regular assessment of the aircrafts condition.
Q. Why do I need to worry about EASA when my aircraft is registered outside of EASA?
A. Regulation 216/2008 refers to all aircraft flying in EASA aerospace above the weight limit.
Q. Why can't I contract with an EASA Part M provider in Europe?
A. You can. However because the records will be held on shore and your base of operation will be in Europe i.e. "on shore" you run the risk of exposure to European Tax Authorities.
Q. What happens if I can't demonstrate compliance?
A. You may be invalidating your insurance and in the worst instance if the aircraft is not maintained correctly at risk of an incident. EASA are starting to conduct ramp inspections of foreign registered aircraft. At the moment non compliance will not result in a fine or worst still grounding of the aircraft. However this approach is likely to change.
Q. How do I demonstrate compliance?
CAMO will carry out a review of your maintenance records and history to determine a base line going forward. This may identify additional maintenance to be carried out on your aircraft. From this point on CAMO will track your maintenance and ensure that the aircraft is airworthy.
